Review Petition filed by DNHPDCL before Honl. JERC

Your association SIMA is forwarding herewith the letter issued by Federation of Industries Associations, Silvassa which is attached herewith.
As you all aware that, the DNHPDCL has filed an ARR for the Year 2017-18 and to determine the ARR and Tariff for Fy- 2017-18, Hon'ble Commission had kept a public hearing in Dadra & Nagar Haveli on 8th February 2017 at Yatri Niwas, Silvassa. During the course of public hearing large numbers of industries colleagues remain present and raised the various objections against the proposal of hike in tariff as proposed by DNHPDCL. Hon'ble Commission gave very patience hearing to the stakeholder and accordingly after considering every pros and cons approved the ARR and determined very logical and rational power tariff by order dated 9th June 2017 to ensure the balance amongst all sections of consumers. By the said order, the illegal recovery of FPPCA charges from non-open access consumers has been withdrawn.
It is learnt that DNHPDCL has filled a review petition before Hon’ble JERC, challenging the tariff determination for the year 2017-2018. However we didn’t receive the copy of the petition yet, we can’t confirm about the issues. We anticipate it must be on alleged loss of 200 cr. We are sure that with the current tariff there will not be any loss and it may earn a profit of 50-60 cr.
After going through the detail of review petition, if required your association SIMA alongwith constituent associations shall contest the review petition before Hon'ble JERC.
