Forwarding of Press Release regarding Cabinet Approval of the (ELI) Scheme

Your association SIMA is forwarding herewith a press release issued by Press Information Bureau, Ministry of Labour & Employment, dated 01st July 2025, regarding the approval of the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme by the Union Cabinet under the chairmanship of the Hon’ble Prime Minister.
As per the press release, the Union Cabinet has approved the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme to support employment generation, enhance employability and social security across all sectors, with special focus on the manufacturing sector.
The ELI Scheme is a significant initiative aimed at enhancing employment generation, employability, and social security across all sectors, with a particular focus on the manufacturing sector. With an ambitious target of generating over 3.5 crore jobs within two years and an outlay of Rs. 99,446 Crore, the Scheme comprises:
Part A: Incentives to first-time employees, including a one-month wage up to Rs. 15,000 in two instalments.
Part B: Support to employers for hiring additional employees with monthly incentives up to Rs. 3,000 per employee.
