Dear all,

Your association SIMA is forwarding a Public Notice issued by the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation. The scanned copy of which is attached herewith.

Earlier Central Ground Water Authority vide Public Notice dated 14.11.2015 and 29.04.2016 informed the various industries and other establishments to submit the  applications to extract ground water and obtain requisite permission as per law in force.

For, using ground water for their project and other use necessary applications along with due recommendation of State Pollution Control Board,  and details of ground water quality analysis report, rain water harvesting proposal, flow charts of water balance etc with the CGWA guidelines placed on the website of CGWB and it was found that several industries have not complied with the directions of Hon’ble NGT and therefore the last opportunity has been given by the department to submit their applications for NOC latest by 31.03.2017, failing which the penal provisions under section 15 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 can be invoked against industries/projects violating the directions.

So all the colleague industries are requested to comply with the directions of Hon’ble NGT and submit their application along with requisite detail and reports to CGWA and obtain the permission latest by 31.03.2017.
