Initiated to set up Campus of the National Institute of Fashion Technology in Daman.

Your Association SIMA is forwarding herewith an article published in the daily newspaper Asli Azadi dated 28/07/2022. Your association is pleased to inform you that, the UT Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu has initiated to set up Campus of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in Daman. NIFT is the pioneering institute of fashion education in the country and has been in the vanguard of providing professional human resources to the textile and apparel industry.
Federation of Industries Association and its constituent association SIMA and the other two association's representatives met Shri Prafulbhai K Patel, Hon'ble Administrator, DNH & DD and Lakshadweep on 27/08/2022 and congratulate him on the initiative to set up Campus NIFT in Daman.
Representatives of industries also acknowledge him for his initiatives for the Medical College and Government Engineering College in this small UT.
During the meeting, Hon'ble Administrator told that he is aware about the problems of industries and also ensured for necessary support for industries whenever required. He acknowledged the initiatives of industries for the overall development of the UT. President of SIMA Shri Atul Shah, General Secretary of SIMA Shri Narendra Trivedi, Shri Sanjeev Kapoor, Shri Ajit Yadav and Shri K.T. Parmar were present in the meeting.
