Dear all,

In a bid to make India a cashless economy, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi  directed his Senior Ministers to explain and motivate the people to adopt cashless transactions by using e-wallets and other digital payment methods. He has also directed the entire government machineries to initiate massive campaign to ensure that every citizen is induce and start using various online payment method to have cashless transactions in entire country.

A meeting was conveyed on 29th November 2016 by Hon’ble Administrator, Dadra & Nagar Haveli with the Industrial and Bank representatives to ensure that all the employees, workers engaged by the industrial undertaking should have their bank accounts and the concerned industries should pay their salary and wages through bank only and money is remitted in their bank account. Bank representatives were also directed to open the bank accounts with ID proof of Adhar Card and bank were further directed to issue debit card, e-wallet or any other method of digital payment to ensure that the workers and  staff purchase their daily requirement by swiping such card or by mobile application like e-wallet, paytm, etc.

Hon’ble Administrator informed that, as per the directives of Ministry of Finance and Home the entire Dadra & Nagar Haveli should be under the regime of cashless transaction before 31st Dec 2016, so all the representative of industries and bank have been directed to start the campaign immediately and ensure that Dadra & Nagar Haveli should be cashless U.T in the scheduled time electronic and digital.    

Hence, you all are requested to adhere the directives of Ministries and Administration and ensure that all the transactions and payment of wages and salaries is done cashless by using bank transactions, debit cards, e-wallet or any other method of digital payment.
