Your association SIMA is in receipt of Press Note No: 4/02/COL/DMN/FLOOD//FCP-2019/1095 dated: 11.06.2019 by Administration of U.T. of Daman & Diu, Office of the Collector, Disaster Management Cell Collectorate, Daman. The copy is enclosed herewith.
Vide Circular The Govt. of India issued an Alert Warning Message for cyclonic storm “Vayu” over East central Arabian Sea & adjoin Southeast Arabian Sea moved northwards with a speed of about 15 kmph in last six hours. It is very likely to intensify further into a Severe Cyclonic storm during next 24 hours & likely to move northwest & cross Daman & Diu and Gujarat.
It is informed that the General Public to be ready to deal with emergency situation.
