Circular dated 23/10/2018 issued by Labour Department, D&NH regarding The Maternity Benefit Act.
Dear All,
Your association SIMA is in receipt of a Circular No.LEO/MB/2018/2318 dated 23/10/2018 issued by Labour Department, Dadra & Nagar Haveli. The scanned copy of the same is enclosed herewith for your ready reference.
Vide the circular it is informed that as per The Maternity Benefit Act, 1961 every establishment having fifty or more employees need to provide creche facility in their premises. In this regards, all the Industrial Establishments in the U.T of Dadra & Nagar Haveli having fifty or more employees are hereby directed to strictly follow the provisions under the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961 and shall need to report the compliance of the same within one month, to the Labour Department, Silvassa.
All the colleague industries are hereby requested to go through the circular attached herewith for further clarification.
