Circular dated 13.04.2018 issued by Employees Provident Fund Organisation
Dear all,
Your association is forwarding herewith a circular issued Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation, Ministry of Labour & Employment, GoI, New Delhi vide No. WSU/17(4)2015/F/Part-1/1276 dated 13/04/2018 regarding submission of claims through online mode in case of settlement amount is above Rs. 10.00 lacs – Revised instructions.
In view of the problem faced by members / claimants (including international workers) in filing online claims, the stipulation for offline claims will be accepted in all cases.
However, in view of the need to setup security, claims received online from claimants will be sent online to employers for further verification, only after which the claim will be settled. The employer should return the claim within 3 days to the EPFO office either accepting or rejecting the claim.
