Submission of Textile data on 'Comprehensive Mapping of Textiles Value Chain'

Your Association SIMA is forwarding a letter No. DIC/25(29)/MISC/2022/248, Dated: 13/05/2025 issued by U.T. Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu (Department of Industries) District Industries Centre, Udyog Bhavan, Ground floor, 66 KV Road, Amli, Silvassa.
Vide the letter, The Government of India, Ministry of Textiles, Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi informed that the 4th National Conference of Chief Secretaries, chaired by the Hon'ble Prime Minister underscored the urgent need for States to undertake a 'comprehensive mapping of the textiles value chain'
The textile sector, a major drive of employment and exports, holds immense potential for value addition across the diverse sub-sectors-cotton, wool, silk, jute, handlooms and throughout the value chain. A detailed mapping exercise will identify strengths, opportunities, and gaps, forming the foundation for State-specific textile development plans.
