Standard Procedure for acceptance and verification of a Bank Guarantee

Dear all,

Your association SIMA is forwarding herewith the Circular No. DNHPDCL/2018/3677 issued on 27/12/18 by DNHPDCL. The scanned copy of the said circular is attached herewith for your ready reference.

As per the Circular, DNHPDCL has framed Standard Procedure vide No. DNHPDCL/F&A/BG/2018-19/01 3659 dated 26/12/2018 for acceptance and verification of Bank Guarantee to be recovered from consumer and contractors. The said standard procedure will be effective from 01/01/2019.

Along with this, DNHPDCL has also prescribed the “Format of Bank Guarantee” to be furnished by the consumer as security.

So all the colleague industries are requested to follow the procedure in case they desire to furnish bank guarantee as security.

We are pleased to inform you that on the request of our associations and in the interest of consumers, the Hon’ble JERC has inserted the provision to accept security in form of “Fixed Deposit” also in revised Supply Code 2018
