Dear all,

Your association SIMA is pleased to inform you that IMC Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Business Standard are jointly organizing an Online seminar on IMPACT OF COVID ON FOOD SUPPLY CHAIN.

The details of the Seminar are as under:

Day & Date : Thursday / 02nd July 2020.
Time : 04:00 p.m. to 05:30pm.
The virtual meeting will be on Zoom.

While the pan India lockdown continues to create challenges in the availability of labour and transport in the agricultural sector, the Central and the State governments have taken various measures to fight the pandemic. But the food supply chain for vegetables, fruits and other daily essentials are facing one of the worst setbacks. Industries calibrated to supply consumers with necessities are finding it difficult to cope with the sudden surge in demand.

While the country has an adequate supply of food grains and other essential commodities, people are resorting to panic buying. Temporary bottlenecks in the flow of goods are seen distorting the supply chain.

For registrations and further details please contact Ms Anita Naik at anita.naik@imcnet.org Or visit IMC website https://www.imcnet.org/events-769
