Notification to re-categorization of industries issued by Dadra Nagar Haveli Administration
Dear all,
It was felt by the Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli that, it is essential to facilitate regulated industrial growth of industries in the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli, in line with the recent initiative of the Government of India viz “Make in India” and “Ease of Doing Business”, and “Harmonizing the categorization of industries” as done by the Central Pollution Control Board.
Accordingly, the Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Department of Environment & Forest, Secretariat, Silvassa vide Notification No. PCC/DMN/13-(Part IV)/98-99/2014-15/1200, Dated 09/10/2015 has issued the notification which shall come in to force from the date of publication of the same in the Official Gazette. The copy of the notification is attached herewith.
By the said notification, the industries have been re-categorized into Category -I, Category -II and Category -III depending upon their Pollution Potential, Effluent Discharge, Emission into Ambient Air, Generation of Hazardous and Solid Waste, Foul Odours and Noise Pollution, Hazard and Explosion potential and Public Safety and Health.
Whereas a Draft of a Notification No. PCC/ DMN/13-III/755, dated 10.10.2014 was issued by the Administrator of Daman, Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli for the information and to invite objections/ suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby.
After detailed examination has considered the suggestion and objections received for making suitable modification in the draft, in supersession of all Notifications issued in this regard, the Administrator of Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli has re-categorized all the industries located in Dadra & Nagar Haveli into Category-I, Category-II and Category –III list of categories. The manufacturing processes, and the detailed lists of industries included in Category-I, Category-II and Category – III categories are furnished separately as Schedule I, II and III respectively.
So, all the colleague industries are requested to go through the notification in detail, study the new categorization and accordingly plan establishment and/or expansion of your industries.
