Dear All,

Your association SIMA is in receipt of a circular No. PCC/DDD/Lab-Recog/2020-2021/112 dated 22.09.2025 from Pollution Control Committee, Daman, First Floor, Udyog Bhavan, Bhenslore, Nani Daman, Daman & Diu, 396210.

Vide the said circular, All industrial establishments and hotels are hereby informed that in compliance with the provisions of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986, and in alignment with the directions issued by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), it is mandatory that all environmental samples collected for compliance monitoring and reporting purposes be analysed in NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) accredited laboratories only.

Further, in view of ensuring uniformity, accuracy, and reliability in environmental data reporting, the following directives are hereby issued:

1. It is mandatory that all the test samples collected by the PCC officials shall be analysed at the Model Environmental Laboratory, and the cost of the sampling and analysis will be borne by the concerned industry.

2. All industries and hotels are advised to analyse their samples as required under various consents and authorisations for testing at the Model Environmental Laboratory, Pollution Control Committee, DNH&DD

3. The Pollution Control Committee reserves the right to verify the authenticity of test reports, in case industries submit test reports from a non-NABL-recognised laboratory.

Accordingly, the Model Environmental Laboratory, Pollution Control Committee, DNH&DD, which is NABL accredited, is authorised to carry out such analysis. Industries are mandated to utilise such services.
