Your association SIMA is forwarding herewith a Gazette issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice (Legislative Department), New Delhi vide Notification No. 44 of 2019 dated 09/12/2019.
As you all are aware that, both the houses i.e. Loksabha and Rajya Sabha have passed the bill for merger of Union Territories “Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu”. The Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu (Merger of Union Territories) Act, 2019 received the assent of Hon’ble President of India on 9th December 2019. The new territory shall be known as “the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu”
