Digital Payment - Banking Difficulties

The Hon’ble Administrator, Daman Diu & Dadra Nagar Haveli had called a meeting regarding the facilitation of digital payments in the industries. It was submitted by Federation of Industries Associations, Silvassa, that almost all direct employees are getting payments through banks only. However, contractors and their workers are facing practical real banking difficulties. Banks are not co-operating in opening new accounts. They are reluctant towards opening of new accounts. The payment made to the contract workers is taking a week's time. In rural areas, there is a shortage of ATM too.
Hon'ble Administrator has advised the industries associations to prepare a self - contained note regarding the banking difficulties faced in the union territory along with the names of the specific Banks.
We request our colleague industries to discuss the matter details with their contractors. Colleague industries can send those difficulties to their association SIMA. While providing these details, kindly specify the name of the bank, need not necessary to mention the name of the customer.
