Demand of C Form by Department
Dear all,
We are enclosing herewith the scan copy of the letter dated 16.09.2015, which we have written to Hon'ble Commissioner, Department of VAT, Silvassa.
Vide the said letter, it was brought to the notice of Hon'ble Commissioner that, as per the verdict of various Hon'ble High Courts, the department cannot insist "C" Form from the dealer industries who are eligible for VAT and CST exemption. The verdict of Hon'ble Bombay High Court, Hon'ble Calcutta High Court and Hon'ble Gauhati High Court are quoted in the said letter.
So you are requested to go through the letter.
