Declaration of Special Allowances under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 issued by Secy-Labour.
Dear all,
Your association SIMA is forwarding herewith a Notification issued by the Office of the Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Labour), Secretariat, Daman, UT Administration of DNH & DD has issued a Notification “Declaration of Special Allowances under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 vide No. LE/LI/DMN/MWA-3(II)/2022/882, dated 15/12/2022.
Vide the notification, UT Administration of DNH & DD has increased the daily rate of special allowances payable on the basis of cost of living index at the rate of Rs. 4.00 per day for a period from 01/10/2022 to 31/03/2023.
Thus, the minimum rates of wages payable in respect of all employments in schedule to the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 in the UT of DNH & DD is as under:

Please note that the monthly wages multiply with 26 days and the order is effective from 01.10.2022. Therefore, all the colleague industries are requested to ensure that they pay arrears to the employees/workers w.e.f. 01.10.2022.
