Dear all,

Your association SIMA is in receipt of a letter from Shri Karanjit Vadodaria, Director (Industries), Dadra & Nagar Haveli vide letter No. DIC/5(491)/Misc.DO/2018/214 dated 27/11/2018 regarding comments on on-going negotiations for proposed India-Sri Lanka Economic and Technology Cooperation Agreement (ETCA). The scanned copy of the letter is forwarded herewith for your ready reference.


Vide the letter, District Industries Centre, DNH forwarded herewith a D.O. No. K-521015/5/2018-ET SA dated 13/09/2018 issued by Shri Bhupinder S. Bhalla, Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, GoI, New Delhi.


As per the letter, Ministry of Commerce and Industry required the suggestions for excluding of the products from negative lists under Indian Sri Lanka Free Trade Agreement.


It is therefore requested to all the colleague industries to give their comments for excluding of the products from the negative list for the new comprehensive trade agreement with Sri Lanka.

All the colleague industries who are importing or exporting various items from/to Sri Lanka are requested to give their product details, so that a comprehensive data may be prepared and present to the Ministry.
