Women can now work night shifts

We are pleased to attached the soft copy of the news appeared in Times of India, Mumbai Edition Dtd: 01/12/2015.
President Pranab Mukherjee gave his assent to the landmark Factories (Maharashtra amendment) Bill, 2015, paving the way for women to work in factories in night shift.
As per Senior Officers, after both the Houses passed the Factories (Maharashtra amendment) bill, 2015; now President gave his assent and show the provisions of the new law can be implemented with immediate effect. As per the said amendment, women are now allowed to work from 7.00 PM to 6.00 AM i.e. in night shift in factories.
This is a very historical amendment and which will have significant repercussion in industrial sector.
