The Declaration of Special Allowance under the Minimum Wages
Dear All,
Your association, SIMA, is forwarding herewith an Order issued by the Department of Labour & Employment, Daman (UT Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu), dated 25.11.2025, regarding the Declaration of Special Allowance under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948.
As per the Order, the daily rate of Special Allowance payable based on the cost of living index number payable with effect from 01/10/2025, whichis hereby increased at the rate of ₹ 3.00 per day in respect of all the employees in the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948.
Thus, the minimum rates of wages payable in respect of all the employments in the schedule to the Minimum Wages Act, 1948, in the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu shall be as under:-
