Press Note issued by Deputy Commissioner (UTGST), Department of GST/Value Added Tax, DNH, Silvassa.
Dear all,
Your association SIMA is forwarding herewith a Press Note dated 27/01/2020 issued by Deputy Commissioner (UTGST), Department of GST/Value Added Tax, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Silvassa.
A meeting of Industries Associations and Charted Accountants was held with Hon’ble Commission (UTGST), DNH regarding issues being faced by the industries for preparing invoices and generating e-way bills after the merger of both the UTs i.e. DNH and DD. It was decided that the sale of goods and services between the UT of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu will be considered as local sales and not as inter-state sales.
In view of the above, it is decided to generate invoice bills and e-way bills wherein the tax shall be UTGST and CGST and name of the UT shall be Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. The necessary changes in the GST common portal have also been taken up with GSTN and soon it will be uploaded on the portal.
