New Rate of Service Tax @ 14% applicable from 1st June
Dear all,
In the Union Budget 2015-16, it was proposed to increase the rate of Service Tax from 12.36% to consolidated rate of 14%(including cess) from a date to be notified after the Finance Bill, 2015 receives assent of President of India.
Further to the above, this is to inform all fellow industries colleagues that by virtue of Notification No.14/2015 ST dated 19/05/2015, the new rate of Service Tax @14% will be applicable w.e.f. 01/06/2015.
