Mass Tree Planting Programme in Industries/ Industrial Areas.
Dear all,
Your association SIMA is forwarding herewith an Order No. PCC/DDD/CPCB/NAUMP/12-13/249, dated: 08.07.2019 issued by Pollution Control Committee, DD & DNH, Silvassa.
As per the said Order industries in Dadra and Nagar Haveli have been asked to take up mass tree planting programme in the industries premises and industrial areas and create green belts/cover in Dadra and Nagar Haveli to improve the air quality. Tree planting including post planting care has to be taken up by the industries. Nodal Officers and in charges for the industrial areas and industrial estates respectively have been appointed for coordination and smooth conduct of the tree planting in industrial areas and the list is enclosed (Annexure- A). Representatives from industries have also been identified for the Industrial areas for coordination with the industries.
A check list detailing the various activities to be carried out by the industries for successful tree planting programme including post planting care, etc is attached herewith for guidance (Annexure- B). All the nodal officers and the in charges are hereby requested to visit the industries in each industrial estate, assess the available area and number of seedlings to be planted, and ensure that the activities related to mass planting programme viz. pitting, procurement and mobilisation of seedling. Planting and watering, etc have to be carried out by the industries. The planting programme has to be completed well before 31st July, 2019.
