Labour Accommodation at Dadra

This is to inform you that, Federation of Industries Associations, Silvassa has suggested that, industrial quarters should be constructed in the various industrial pockets of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, in which workers of nearby industrial units can reside. Considering the request of the Federation and three constituent associations, the administration has decided to provide industrial worker accommodation in first phase in Dadra village where number of industrial units are located and where administration has already constructed a building which is lying idle. In this regards, Federation of Industries Association, Silvassa has sent an email to your association SIMA, which is enclosed herewith for your reference.
During the meeting with Ms. Pooja Jain, Secretary – Tourism and in-charge of the concerned project, it was requested by Federation to renovate the 48 quarters which had been constructed long back and is lying idle. It was agreed that the said 48 quarters will be renovated and shall be provided with 6 beds and 6 almirah, so that, 6 workers of the industry can be accommodated in a single quarter. It was also agreed that proper independent electric meter shall be provided and requisite plumbing work shall also be completed.
As proposed, Rs. 500 per month shall be charged as the rent and Rs. 150 per worker shall be charged towards maintenance charges. So, for each quarter the concerned industry will have to pay Rs. 3000 as rent per month Rs. 900 as maintenance charge per month. As proposed Rs. 10000/- will be charged as security deposit from the industry. The electricity charge shall be paid as per individual meter fix in the quarter.
We hereby request all the interested colleague industries of Dadra to furnish their requirements of number of quarters for their workers to your association SIMA and / or Federation of Industries Association, Silvassa to enable us to assess the requirement of the number of such quarters in Dadra region.
The industrial units are requested to submit their requirements last by 31st August 2017.
