Important Advisory for Temporary Closure of Sakartod River Bridge on Rakholi Surangi Velugam Road
Dear all,
We are forwarding herewith an Order issued by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, regarding the temporary closure of the Bridge over the Sakartod River on Rakholi–Surangi–Velugam Road (NH-848A) for a period of one month with effect from 02 June 2026. The closure has been necessitated to facilitate repair and maintenance work and to ensure public safety.
As per the Order, all vehicular traffic on the said bridge shall remain prohibited during the closure period. Traffic from the Velugam Border side will be diverted via Kala–Amboli Road and Khanvel–Kherdi Road towards Khanvel Junction, and vice versa.
We also request all to circulate this information among their concerned departments and transport agencies for smooth compliance with the directions issued by the Administration.
