Dear all,

We are pleased to inform you that, INDIAN MERCHANT'S CHAMBER is going to organized a FULL DAY SEMINAR ON PREPARING FOR GST on 30th October 2015, at Walchand Hirachand Hall, IMC, Churchgate, Mumbai-400020 between 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

The detail of the seminar, the issues to be discussed, profile of Speakers and registration form etc. are available in the attachment attached here with.

GST is the biggest tax reform post-independence, which is set to replace, the complex indirect tax regime currently being administered by the Center, States and Local Authorities. GST is not only a tax reform but a business reform, which as per study conducted by National Council of Applied Economic Research, if implemented in the true spirit could boost GDP anywhere from 0.9% to 1.7%.

Regulatory reforms require studied & thoughtful considerations. The biggest challenge for GST and for the Trade and Industry is determining how this array of regulatory activities will affect their organisation and, as a result, anticipate the imminent changes they need to make and those they can put on a long term plan. Tax Regulators would focus towards the revenue neutrality of the tax rate, increasing investments, risk management in terms of revenue leakage, and capital management.

This Event has been planned considering the far reaching impact GST is likely to have on Trade & Industry. It is essential that, Members of Trade & Industry are educated & oriented about the preparatory steps / actions which need to be taken before the introduction of GST Regime.

If any of colleague industries are interested to participate in the seminar, Please register your participation at the earliest by filling up the enclosed Registration Form and forward the same to IMC by email:  upendra@imcnet.org or by post along with Cash/DD/Cheque for applicable amount in favor of 'INDIAN MERCHANT'S CHAMBER'.

If you require any assistance, please feel free to contact your association SIMA.

Thanking you,
With regards,

For Silvassa Industries & Manufacturers Association
