Your association SIMA is in receipt of Circular No. PCC/DNH/E-Waste/2018-19/18 dated 11/02/2019 for Implementation E-Waste(Management and Handling) Rules,2016- reg. The scanned copy of the circular is enclosed herewith.
Vide Notification No. G.S.R. 338(E) dated 23rd March 2016 to the MOEF, New Delhi, Notification the E-Waste (Management and Handling) Rules,2016 has been published.
As per the Notification E-Waste (Management and Handling) Rules, 2016 shall apply to every manufacturer, producer, consumer, bulk consumer, collection centres, dealers,e-retailer,refurbisher,dismantler, and recycler involved in manufacture, sale transfer, purchase,collection, storage and processing of e-waste or electrical and electronic equipment listed in schedule I, including their components consumables, parts and spares which make the product operational.
