Awareness Programme on Bulk Waste Generators Online Portal Registration
Dear all,
Your association SIMA is forwarding herewith the Circular No. 617 dated 09.06.2026 issued by the District Panchayat, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, regarding the implementation of the Solid Waste Management (SWM) Rules, 2026 and mandatory registration of Bulk Waste Generators (BWGs) on the CPCB Centralized Online Portal.
As per the circular, Registration of Bulk Waste Generators (BWGs) on the CPCB online portal has been made mandatory for monitoring and compliance under the SWM Rules, 2026.
Hence, an Awareness Programme on BWG Portal Registration has been organized by the Administration to facilitate registration and provide guidance on compliance requirements.
Programme Details:
Date: 11th June 2026 (Thursday)
Time: 11:00 AM onwards
Venue: Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium, Dadra & Nagar Haveli
As per the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026, a Bulk Waste Generator includes any entity having:
• Built-up area of 20,000 sq. metres or more; or
• Water consumption of 40,000 litres per day or more; or
• Solid waste generation of 100 kg per day or more.
All eligible industrial units are requested to depute a responsible representative to attend the programme and ensure timely registration on the BWG Portal within the prescribed timeline.
SIMA appeals all the colleague industries to review the enclosed circular carefully and take necessary action to ensure compliance with the applicable provisions of the Solid Waste Mangement Rules, 2026.
