Prohibitory Orders Under Section 163 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 by SDM, DNH
Dear All,
Your association, SIMA, is forwarding herewith an Order issued by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Dadra & Nagar Haveli (UT Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu), dated 09.05.2025, under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.
Due to the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, there exists a potential threat to public peace, safety and security and there is an apprehension of public unrest, spread of rumours, and possible security implications in Dadra & Nagar Haveli.
Accordingly, the following prohibitory orders are imposed with immediate effect across the entire jurisdiction of Dadra & Nagar Haveli District.
- Complete Prohibition on the operation of all industrial sirens, except in the case of actual emergencies with prior intimation to the District Administration.
- Complete ban on the bursting of fire crackers in public and private spaces.
- Complete restriction on the use, operation, and flying of all forms of civilian drones by individuals, private organizations, and other entities.
These orders are issued to prevent public nuisance, potential unrest, and to ensure the safety and security of the citizens of Dadra & Nagar Haveli district.
This order shall come into force with immediate effect and shall remain in force for the period of 15 days or until further orders.
