Mandatory disposal of bulk waste of the industries by themselves

This is in continuation to our earlier email dated 20.12.2018 in respect of Order No. SMC/CO/SBM/2016/60/1791 dated 05/07/18 issued by the Chief Officer, Silvassa Municipal Council for disposal of bulk waste as per Solid Waste Management.
As per the order, Silvassa Municipal Council shall not collect, accept and process the waste generated by the Bulk Waste Generators. The Bulk Waste Generators shall have to process the waste generated by them.
In the definition of Bulk Waste Generators, all the industries whatever size and nature have been notified as Bulk Waste Generator. In addition to that, all the Hotels having 20 rooms & above, Restaurants with 50 seats & above and all construction & demolition waste generators are also categorized under the Bulk Waste Generators.
So, the industries in the area of Silvassa Municipal Council are bound to process and dispose the waste generated in their units at their cost. In case it is found that they are not processing their own waste shall be punished and fined in accordance with Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Silvassa Solid Waste (Handling and Management) Bye-Laws 2018.
So, in the interest of industries of Silvassa, your SIMA has identified an agency who is authorized by the Silvassa Municipal Council for collecting and processing of bulk waste. For the negotiation with the agency, SIMA requires data by which we can explore the possibility to process and disposed off the waste generated by the industries of Silvassa mainly Piparia and Amli. Hence, we request the industries of Silvassa to confirm whether their industries shall take the services of the agency or they will process their waste by themselves.
Therefore, you are requested to register your names with your association SIMA to enable us to negotiate with the agency.
