IMPORTANT POINTS OF THE POWER TARIFF ORDER PASSED BY HONL. JERC
Dear all,
Your association has already informed you by its earlier mail that, Hon’ble JERC has pronounced the Tariff Order for the 17-18, and order was also forwarded with the mail dated 10.06.2017.
In this regards, a copy of the mail received from Federation of Industries Associations, Silvassa is forwarded herewith.
The order of Honl. JERC has been studied in details, prime facie; the order seems to be reasonable. The special features of the order are:
1. Net impact on prevailing power tariff will be “reduction by 10 paisa per unit”.
2. For computation of FPPCA, the approved power price has been enhanced from Rs 3.26 to Rs 4.49. It means FPPCA @67 paisa will go away, There will be minimal possibility of any FPPCA during the year.
3. With the reduction of FPPCA, now it will not remain lucrative to purchase power through open access. If that happens, problem of loading of burden of fixed charges on account of non purchase of power due to open access will also go away.
4. Another good trend is that Hon’ble JERC has started now to pass on part of accumulated surplus to consumers. This year revenue requirement has been approved with a loss of 200Cr. Even after meeting this loss and with open access possibility, DNH PDCL will be with an accumulative profit of Rs. 500 Cr.
In view of the above mentioned points, your association SIMA and FIA welcome the order of Hon'ble JERC.
We once again thanks to all the members and colleagues industries for exhibiting the unity and solidarity to highlight the issue before appropriate authority.
Thanking you,
With regards,
For Silvassa Industries & Manufacturers Association,
Narendra Trivedi,
Secretary
