Further Extension for Use of Alternative Fuels due to Natural Gas Shortage.
Dear Members,
We wish to inform you that Pollution Control Committee, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu (PCC DNH & DD) has issued Order No. PCC/DDD/PET-COKE-FO(WP)(C)13029/1985/CPCB(DMN)/19-20/255 dated 25/09/2026.
As per the Order:
Whereas PCC had earlier issued Order No. 61 dated 13/03/2026 permitting industrial units to use alternative fuels on temporary basis due to interruption/shortage in supply of natural gas, and the same was extended vide Order No. 107 dated 21/05/2026 and Order No. 121 dated 08/06/2026.
And whereas, the prevailing condition with regard to supply of natural gas continues to remain unchanged and interruption is still persisting.
Now, therefore, in continuation of aforesaid orders, PCC DNH & DD has further extended the validity of permission granted for use of alternative fuels for a further period of 15 days from the date of issuance of this order i.e. from 25.09.2026.
Other Points:
1. All terms and conditions stipulated in the aforesaid orders shall remain unchanged and shall continue to be applicable during the extended period.
2. The permission granted is strictly temporary in nature and shall be subject to review from time to time. The same may be withdrawn, modified or further extended depending upon improvement in supply of natural gas, directions issued by CPCB / other competent authorities, and prevailing circumstances.
All member industries using alternative fuels are requested to take note and ensure compliance of all conditions mentioned in earlier PCC orders.
Thanking you,
With best regards,
Narendra Trivedi
