Declaration of Revised Special Allowances under Minimum Wages Act, 1948 by Labour Dept, DNH DD
Dear All,
Your association, SIMA, is forwarding herewith an Order issued by the Department of Labour & Employment, Daman (UT Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu), dated 09.05.2025, regarding the revision of Special Allowances under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948.
As per the Order, the UT Administration has increased the rate of Special Allowances based on the Cost-of-Living Index Number, effective from 01.04.2025, at the rate of Rs. 10.50 per day for all scheduled employments in the UT of DNH & DD.
Accordingly, the revised minimum rates of wages payable in the UT of DNH and DD shall be as follows:

The effective date of this order is 01.04.2025. All industrial establishments/employers must ensure payment of revised wages and pay any arrears from the effective date. If wages already paid are higher than the revised rates, the same should continue.
