Circular issued by the Reserve Bank of India, regarding Special Clearing Operations.
Dear all,
Your association SIMA forwarding herewith a circular issued by the Reserve Bank of India dated 26/03//2021, regarding Special Clearing Operations on 31/03/2021.
As per the circular, a reference is invited to the circular issued by the Department of Government and Bank accounts (DGBA) vide DGBA.GBD.NO.S212/42.01.029/2020-21, dated 25/03/2021 Addressed to all the agency bank on Annual Closing of Government Account Transaction of Central/ State Government- Special Measure for the Financial Year (2020-21).
Normal clearing timings as applicable to any working “Wednesday” shall be followed on March 31, 2021. Further, to facilitate accounting of all the Government transactions for the current financial year (2020-21) by March 31, 2021, it has been decided to conduct Special Clearing exclusively for Government Cheques across the three CTS grids on 31st March 2021.
