Dear all,
Your association SIMA has received a Circular No. PCC/DDD/E-waste(M&H)/2017-18/53, dated 07/02/2020 from Pollution Control Committee, DD & DNH, Daman in respect of Implementation of E-Waste (Management and Handling) Rules, 2016.
The MoEF, New Delhi, has published E-Waste (Management and Handling) Rules,2016 vide Notification No.G.S.R.338 (E) dated 23rd March 2016.
As per the above Notification, the E-Waste (Management and Handling) Rules 2016, shall apply to every manufacturer, producer, consumer, bulk consumer, collection centres, dealers, e-retailer, refurbisher, dismantler and recycler involved in the manufacture, sale, transfer, purchase, collection, storage and processing of e-waste or electrical and electronic equipment listed in schedule I, including their components, consumables, parts and spares which make the product operational. Accordingly the bulk Consumer are responsible to comply the various provision of the said Notification.
