Your association SIMA is forwarding herewith a Circular No. ADM/LAW/G.L.S.Election/2019/ issued by District Magistrate /D.E.O of Dadra Nagar Haveli, Silvassa, dated 06/04/2019. Regarding The Election to the seat of Lok Sabha to Dadra and Nagar Haveli Parliamentary Constituency that is scheduled on 23/04/2019 (Tuesday).
In view of the above circular, the election commission of India has directed that in conformity with the provisions of section 135B of the representative of the people act, 1951, the following directions are hereby ordered.
1. Every person employed in any business trade, industrial undertaking or any other establishment and entitled to vote at the election to the House of the People shall or the Legislative Assembly of a State on 23/04/2019 (Tuesday) be granted a holiday.
2. No deduction or abatement of the wages of any such person shall be made on account of a holiday having been granted on 23/04/2019 (Tuesday) and if such persons employed on the basis that he would not ordinarily receive wages for such a day, he shall nonetheless be paid for such day the wages he would have been drawn had not a holiday been granted to him on that day.
The above directions require that all establishment and shops including those which work on shift basis be closed on the 23/04/2019 (Tuesday) In the Parliamentary Constituency Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
